In March BBC Studios will release a new animated version of the lost Second Doctor adventure The Macra Terror. The hand-drawn reconstructions have been carefully lip-synced with an original 1967 audio recording, and the animation can be viewed either in colour or black and white.

In The Macra Terror, the Doctor (Patrick Troughton), Jamie (Frazer Hines), Ben (Michael Craze) and Polly (Anneke Wills) visit a human mining colony in the far future. But a scuttling horror is stirring in the depths of the mines. The Doctor and his friends must challenge the one supreme law of the colony: “There are no such things as Macra!”

The Macra Terror will be released on DVD (RRP £20.42), Blu-Ray (RRP £25.52) and special-edition Steelbook (RRP £40.84) on 25 March. Special features include an animation gallery, a behind-the-scenes film and an audio commentary. We’ve got FIVE copies of the Blu-ray to give away.
