The further adventures of the Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker), Leela (Louise Jameson) and K9 (John Leeson) continue with three new stories. The first two – Phil Mulryne’s The Remains of Kaerula and The Ruins of Kaerula – focus on events at two points in the planet’s history and the complications of a temporal anomaly.

The final entry, Cry of the Banshee by Tim Foley, has the Brigadier call the Doctor to a peace conference in Geneva… Tim says: “When I was asked to write a story with the Brigadier meeting Leela, I thought it was a very interesting idea to have two very different warriors and soldiers coming together. And then I had the idea to put the Brigadier in space, dislocate him from what he knows – give him a TARDIS adventure, effectively.”
