Back in the early eighties, the co-creator of the Cybermen, Gerry Davis, proposed a story about the creatures’ origins. Since then, we’ve had little more than a synopsis to give us an idea of how he envisaged it all starting, but now, David K Barnes has adapted the story into an audio adventure starring Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor, with companions Adric (Matthew Waterhouse), Nyssa (Sarah Sutton) and Tegan (Janet Fielding).

Producer and director David O’Mahony says, “Gerry Davis’s ideas about their origin never made it onto TV, so it’s a total pleasure to bring this story to life. Setting it pre-Earthshock gives it the feel of a brilliant prequel to the impending Cybermen stories that we know and love.”

You can pre-order Genesis of the Cybermen from bigfinish.com (£16.99 for CD and download, £13.99 download only), but to be in with a chance of winning one of FIVE copies, tell us the answer to the following question…
